Because we have the life and nature of Adam, we also have his behavior.
This is why we never have to try to lose our temper; it’s just a natural response!
Our desire is to be saved from this.
But God’s way of salvation is not to make us better or to improve our behavior.
Instead, He transfers us out of Adam and puts us into Christ. As soon as this transfer occurs, everything of Christ is ours.
Since the day of the Lord Jesus’ death, all of God’s work has been finished.
Every spiritual matter is settled; God will not do anything more. Instead, we only need to receive what God has accomplished in Christ.
We’ve all had those experiences of feeling that these facts in the Bible are not real to us. But…
When we feel condemned, we must believe according to Romans 8:1, “There is now then no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.”
According to His word, we cannot be condemned. The only requirement is for us to believe His word by faith.
There are many other examples of these divine facts in the Word of God.
- “So then if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, they have become new” (2 Cor. 5:17).
Does this verse tell us that we are changed? No! It says that he who is in Christ is a new creation.
- “In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins” (Col. 1:14).
Being saved and forgiven are both in Christ.
Do we realize that our sins were taken away by Christ more than nineteen hundred years ago? We died in the death of Christ, and were forgiven: “Knowing this, that our old man has been crucified with Him…” (Rom. 6:6).
What about being justified to be made righteous?
- “Him who did not know sin He made sin on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Cor. 5:21).
God justifies us not because we do good. God justifies us because we are in Christ.
Romans 8:38 and 39 say, “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor things present nor things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
All these things cannot separate us from of the love God.
There is only one reason: we are in Christ Jesus.
He has transferred us out of Adam and has put us into Christ. Everything of Christ is ours because we are in Christ.
Have you failed today? Don’t feel condemned, or try to improve yourself. You are in Christ and He has done it all.
Have you realized that you are in Him? Now our boast is in Him. Listen to this portion…
