According to the Bible our experience of Christ as life is both progressive and practical. In our experience, we must progress from being in Christ to abiding in Christ, and from Christ abiding in us to ultimately being full grown in Christ. In The Experience of Life, Witness Lee presents these and many more practical principles to guide our spiritual growth and development along the proper path to knowing Christ in a deeper and fuller way.

This book revealed the aspects of the Christian life that I did not know before. It showed the necessary stages needed in life but I enjoyed that this is a life long journey. I do not need to use my own effort to complete these stages because the life of Christ takes care of it all. The only thing He needs is for me to allow Him the way to bring me through the different stages. Eventually, with the help of the Body, we will arrive at the fullness of Christ.

What an encompassing view of the Christian life! This book opened my eyes to see the Christian life as a life-long journey through many stages. This journey can be accomplished only by life, the life of the Lord Jesus Christ who indwells our spirit. This journey can be only fully completed in the Body of Christ. Reading The Experience of Life surely gave me an uplifted view that as one who calls myself a Christian, I must earnestly, daily pursue to “grow with the growth of God”(Col. 2:19) until not only me individually but all the members of the Body arrive “at a full-grown man, at the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” (Eph. 4:13)
